Dacia Bigster
Stretched Duster does a pretty good impression of a Land Rover Defender for just £24,995 – undercutting all its rivals apart from the MG HS. Entry-level Expression trim isn’t short on kit, either, with a 10.1in infotainment touchscreen, dual-zone air conditioning and 17in alloys, plus more to boot. You can’t have a Bigster with seven seats, though.
Dacia Duster hybrid 4×4
If you want the hardy Duster with four-wheel drive, your only choice at present is to have it with a manual gearbox. That won’t remain the case for long, however, because Dacia is looking to introduce another 4×4 variant with an automatic ’box and an electric motor on its rear axle. It’s expected to sit above the current mild-hybrid 4×4, which is priced from £23,550.
